Hi Tony:

Great job!  I'm so glad that you've had an "AH HA!" moment!

Meditation could actually be a niche in a way.  I would think about "Meditation for _____________".  You can fill in the blank any way  that you would like ...

Meditation for Stress Relief
Meditation for Real Estate Professionals
Meditation for Corporate Executives
etc.

You want to find an audience, think about the problems they have and how meditation can solve those problems.  I'd love to see you back up a step, though, and think through what you really want to achieve through your business.  This might help you to figure out how meditation fits into it and even what audience you might be serving.

Keep up the great work!  Will I be seeing you on the GOLD Challenge calls on Wednesdays?

2  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Social Bookmarks on: June 09, 2010, 05:01:39 PM
Hi Scott:

It's done the EXACT same way that you submit your blog posts to social bookmarking sites!  As I showed you in the webinar during the fast start program, you have the onlywire toolbar installed.  If you go to the comment that you want to bookmark and then click on the icon for the site you want to bookmark it at, it will go to the site, fill out the form, and all you have to do is select the category and click "submit".  I wouldn't do it this way because it will take WAY too long.

I would instead use either social marker or bookmarking demon.  If you go to http://www.askggg.com/bmdvideos there are videos on how to use bookmarking demon.  It's simply a matter of getting the link to your comment and submitting it just like you would submit a link to the post on your blog.  If you then go to http://www.socialmarker.com, simply check the 7 or 8 sites you want to bookmark each item at (Digg, Delicious, Technorati, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Propeller & Mixx at a minimum).  Then fill in the litle form with the title of the comment or post, the link to the comment or post, etc.  The tool will then log into each bookmarking site, one at a time, pre-populate the form for you, and all you have to do is hit the submit button and then go to the next one.

Here's the bigger issue, though...

If you have been bookmarking ONLY your posts for all this time, then you are very likely already banned by both domain and IP address on the social bookmarking sites.  So, you're definitely going to have to look into that.  To do so, log into your account on each social bookmarking site.  Look at the bookmarks that you have made and see what it shows.  If there doesn' appear to be anything in your account or if it says that the account cannot be found, it's an indication that you may have been banned.

Ordinarily it doesn't take more than around 3 or 4 posts from a single domain with no other domains being bookmarked to get banned.  So if you have bookmarked more than 4 posts on your site and you haven't bookmarked anyhing else, you're treading on dangerous grounds!

About 2 weeks ago, I went out looking for your social bookmarks and couldn't find a single one.  I hope you have better luck than I did!

Please keep me posted.

3  General Category / Marketing Discusssions / Re: Traffic Rock Star Expo on: May 29, 2010, 12:25:47 PM
I couldn't agree with Carrie more!

There are plenty of traffic methods out there.  Some work.  Some don't.  Some are free. Some cost money.  Regardless of which traffic method you use, here are a few things that it MUST have...

#1 -- the traffic method should help you to target your ideal prospects instead of just putting your message in front of everyone

#2 -- the traffic method should let you bring all of the traffic to your blog where your blog can then redirect the traffic to low end products that generate leads for all the other products that you make money from

#3 -- the traffic method should be easy to outsource so that you don't have to spend your time working IN your business and instead can work ON your business

The Traffic System that I teach uses a blog as both the vehicle for driving the traffic and as the landing page for the traffic.  In using your blog this way, it becomes the tool you use for building relationships that turn into sales.  And, it becomes the tool for increasing both the level of engagement of your visitors and the lifetime value of your customers.

Using this blogging system helps you to develop your "voice" as an expert.  As you find your voice, you'll create products that sell bettr.  You'll find more people willing to joint venture with you.  Your emails will get more response from your subscribers.  Your blog will get more comments from readers.  You'll find more people opting into your newsletter AND more people buying your low end products that are recommended from your blog posts, emails, tweets, etc.

Using other traffic methods usually prevents you from developing this critical skill that helps you to make more money from EVERYTHING you are doing!

If you use the blogging system that I teach everywhere (from the 30-Day IM Challenge, from 21 Days to Blogging profits - http://www.askggg.com/21days, from the Blog Systems Workshop - http://www.askggg.com/bloggingcall, from the Traffic Systems Workshop - http://www.askggg.com/traffic, from the Associate's Program - http://www.askggg.com/associates, and from the Bachelor's Program - http://www.askggg.com/bachelors), you'll develop your voice as an expert AND you'll be able to get as many as 1,000 to 5,000 unique visitors per day to your blog -- where 10% of you visitors will opt in to your list, 25% of your visitors will get to sales pages that make you money, and as many as 10% to 15% of your sales page visitors will buy what you have to offer!

The thing is -- sending traffic to the same sales pages using different traffic methods is likely to convert at only 1% to 2% which is the industry average.  This means that not all traffic is created equal!  So  do yourself a favor and make sure that you know what using other traffic methods really means to your bottom line!  When you really understand this, you'll find that the blogging system lets you really work less while getting bigger results!  After all, isn't that why everyone gets started in their own business in the first lace?

4  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Word Press Plugin - Deep Link Engine on: May 29, 2010, 12:07:17 PM
The link that Alan refers to is one that creates content for your blogs automatically.  I'm not sure if that's the same as the plugin that Roxie refers to as the Deep Link Engine.  What I can tell you is this...

The Auto Content link that Alan shares is a plugn that is designed to be monetized using Google AdSense.  The sales letter makes it VERY clear that they expect to make 50 cents to $1 per day for each blog that they use this tool on.  That means that the blog makes $15 to $30 per month -- MAX!

If you really understand my blogging system, it is one that does NOT use AdSense -- not EVER!  In fact, when you use AdSense on your blog, you're trading making a few pennies for  making a few dollars if you were selling affiliate products or your own products.  Why would you want to make a few cents if you could make a few dollars instead -- without anymore time or effort?

Here's the thing... if you want to make money selling products as an affiliate or selling your own products, you really can't use other people's content or automated content.  You need to be seen as the expert in your field to really make sales of any kind of product and the way to be seen as the expert is to use good quality content on your blog.

I'm not sure what the Deep Link Engine plugin is, but if you give me a link I'll take a look at it.  Otherwise, I would stay away from this type of auto content plugin.

5  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Strategic Planning - Thinking Big on: May 29, 2010, 11:44:14 AM
Ok Meghan & Roxie, let's see if I can shed a little light on what you need to do...

First, both of you are starting with first steps.  That's the wrong place to start!

Instead, you want to start with your last steps.  In other words -- where do you want to be 3 to 5 years from now?  What do you want to achieve by then?  Ask yourself both what you want for yourself personally, what you want for your business, what you want for your family, and even what you want for your customers.  It is only when you get clear on each of these that you can reword them as long term goals.  Notice that they involve much more than just money.  This is important because very few people really just want to make a certain amount of money.  Even if they reach that amount of money, they usually feel unfilled and as if something were missing and that's because they didn't think about the other things they really wanted.

So, let's say you decide you want to make a certain amount of money, but you also see yourself spending your day a certain way.  Now you ask yourself what would that mean that you would have?  What kind of products would you be selling?  What kind of business would you have?  How many people would work with you? etc.

That helps you to define your high end products which is where you make your money.  Once you know what your high end product looks like, only then can you ask yourself "If I want to sell ______________, how would I introduce people to it?  How would I get people to qualify themselves as buyers of it?"  This helps you to decide what you'll sell as a mid-range product.

Usually, the mid-range product is something that bridges the gap between showing your prospects how to solve the problems they know they have and showing your products how to solve the problems they don't know they have.  In other words, it begins to show them why just having the solution they THINK they want won't really fix their problem.  It then introduces them to the high end product that will really get them everything they need.

Once you plan out the mid-range product, you then think about the low end products -- the lead generators in your profit funnel.  These are all about the solving the problems your audience knows that they have.  At this level, the products help you to go wide while the mid-range and high end products help you to go deep.  In other words, each low end product focuses on solving a different problem.  You might have slightly different problems that have slightly different audiences so your low end products really help you to target the right people.

Let's say that your high end product is all about helping small business owners to become more productive and more efficient.  Your low end products might target slightly different business types by talking about different problems.  For example, let's say you know you want to target restaurant owners and accountants because you now they are the 2 audiences most likely to succeed with your high end product.  You might consider having a low end product about "Using the Internet to Attract More Diners to your Restaurant" and another might be "Using the Internet to Attract More Middle Class People to Your CPA Firm".  You can create a core product on the topic of "Using the Internet to Attract More Customers" and then simply by changing the stories within the product and the benefits in the sales letter, you create 2 different versions of the same product.

While these lead generators help you to reach the right prospects, they should also start hinting at why using the internet to get more customers isn't necessarily going to make them more money.  You might have a mid-range product that talks about other ways of improving profits in your brick and mortar business.  In this mid-range product, you talk about how just getting more customers doesn't necessarily increase profits.  You begin to show the prospect all the other things that help to improve their bottom line.  You suggest that the real secret to making more profits is improving the lifetime value of a customer -- NOT in attracting more customers.  If the business increasing the lifetime value of a customer, this lets them make more money from fewer customers, allowing them to work less to make more.  That sets them up for coming into your high end product that helps them become more productive and efficient.

By planning from the top down, you're creating a profit funnel that allows you to focus 100% of your efforts on simply getting more people to your lead generators, knowing that the sales systems and the products themselves will cause customers to move into your mid-range and high-end products on autopilot.  So long as you're continuing to get more people to your lead generators, all the other sales happen!

Once you know how many high-end sales you need to make 100% of your income goal, you can predict how many mid-range and low end sales you need to generate your high end sales goals.  If you assume that just 20% of your mid range buyers will buy your high end product, and that 20% of your low end buyers will buy your mid range product, and that 5% of your sales page visitors will buy your low end product, you'll easily be able to predict the amount of traffic that you need to your low end products to make all your other sales goals happen.

Then instead of having to drive different streams of traffic to all the products you sell, you only need to send traffic to your blog which then sells your low end products and everything else works automatically!

Can you see how much easier this makes your life?

This is VERY, VERY different than the way that most internet marketers teach you to build your business!  They tell you to start with step #1 -- what products will you sell? and then plan step #2 - what keyword will you use to make those sales?  They tell you to then use pay-per-click traffic and send it to your links to sales pages.  This presumes that you'll sell each customer only once.  At most, you might have an immediate upsell right after they buy product #1.  If you want to make more money, though, you need to get more customers.  And, you need to constantly be adding new products as well since there's no strategic plan for moving customers from one product to the next.

With the way that most people teach you to build businesses, the lifetime value of the customer is extremely low.  Your lead generation costs are extremely high.  And, worst of all, you constantly need to be wearing many hats in your business -- traffic generator, product creator, etc.

Why work so hard when you don't have to?  Why put yourself in a position where you MIGHT meet your long term goals but you might not as well?

Wouldn't you rather have a way to GUARANTEE that you meet ALL of your long term goals?  With the system that I teach you to use, you reach all of your long term goals on purpose!  That way you'll feel more fulfilled while making money.  You'll actually be able to make a difference for other people if that is what you really want to do!  You'll truly be the EXPERT in the eyes of your prospects and customers!  And, you'll develop very close relationships with your customers that will help ensure that they tell everyone that they know about you -- not because they want an affiliate commission but because you are so much a part of their lives that simply by talking about themselves your name comes up.  Now that is TRUE viral marketing at its best!

I hope this helps you to better understand what I mean by "starting with the end results"!  I hope you also see WHY its so important to do so!

To Your Abundant Success!

6  General Category / General Discussion / Re: On the 5/1 Saturday call, someone suggested creating mastermind group on: May 29, 2010, 11:00:54 AM
Hi Roxie:

The Wednesday Gold Calls aren't really a mastermind group.  They are more of a lecture call that is done in an open format.  In a true "Mastermind Group", each member of the group has a specific amount of time to talk.  The group decides what goal to focus on for that call or for that week.  These goals are called "SMART Goals" as they focus on small, measurable, attainable, results oriented, time limited goals.  A SMART goal is very specific.  It might be something like "Get 1 new sale or the ______ product that I sell as an affiliate in the next week".  Notice that this is very specific -- it defines the result, how you'll achieve the result, and the time to achieve the result.

In the Gold Calls, we really don't follow this format at all.  Further, not every person on the call is given an opportunity to speak up.  All of my teleconferences are done in the same format -- I try to get the students to pull from themselves that which they already know rather than just teaching them new "stuff".  I do this because it make it more likely that the listeners will actually take action on what they just learned.

There's benefit to both types of calls and I strongly encourage ALL of my students to be a part of Mastermind Groups!  For those in my Bachelor's Program, Carrie Tucker actually facilitates mastermind calls.  These are only open to those in my mentoring program.  However, I'm pretty sure that Carrie also has other mastermind groups that are open to anyone.  Hopefully Carrie will jump in this thread to give you details.

7  General Category / Weekly Progress Journals / Re: Should I wait to start the next 30 day challenge? on: May 29, 2010, 10:53:44 AM
Hi Roxie:

Welcome to the forum!

I want to clarify something for everyone who reads this...

In your last post, you mention "I have other plug-ins I use too, but Gina has some good ones."

You need to understand that I teach a VERY specific blogging SYSTEM!  Using my blogging system, students get tremendous results from their blogging efforts -- which means getting 1,000 to 5,000 unique visitors per day to your blog, while getting 10% of your blog's visitors to opt in and 25% of your blog's visitors to visit sales pages where 10% or more will convert to buyers.

In order to get these kinds of results, you need to use my ENTIRE blogging system!  This means the followingP

a)  Using a 2 column theme that has a right hand sidebar.  The best theme (in terms of results) is Studio Press's Revolution Lifestyle Theme.  It is from that Theme's layout that Steve Holmes has created "My Instant Theme" which is currently ONLY available to those who are part of our Beta Membership in "My Instant Video" which you'll find at:  http://www.askggg.com/myinstantvideo

b)  Having an opt in box in the upper right corner of your blog, at the top of the right sidebar AND having an opt in box that shows up in a lightbox pop up.  You can do this using "My Instant Pop Up" which is part of the blogging toolbox at http://www.bloggingtoolbox.com

c)  Writing posts that use the "Magic Formula for Writing a Powerful Post".  This means that your keyword appears in the headline, in the tags, and at least twice in the body of the post.  Once it is the anchor text to an internal link and the other is a link to an external link pointing to another site that uses the same keyword.  The post starts with the headline which asks a question that sets the stage for a problem that your ideal prospect has.  So your headline might be something like "How do you get rid of blah, blah, blah?" where the "blah blah blah" is the keyword.

After the headline, the post starts with a story that shows the reader the problem that you will solve in the post.  It then reiterates the question (i.e. "So, how do you get rid of blah, blah, blah?") and then gives a short bulleted list of either the steps to the solution or the solutions to the problem.  After the bulleted list, it goes on to explain the steps or the solutions.  Finally, the post ends with a call to action and a resource.  The resource should either be something that helps your reader save time, save money, make money, or fill some other emotionally compelling need.  In other words, it helps your reader get bigger results, better results or faster results than the solution you just gave them in your post.

d)  Next, you should use the "Simple 6 Step Process" for driving traffic to your blog.  This means: 1) Write a post using the Magic Formula in 'c' above; 2) Ping the search engines using something like www.pingoat.com; 3)  Comment on 5 other sites that use the same keyword and link those comments to the post you just wrote; 4)  Social bookmark both your post and the 5 comments you just made at the following 7 sites - Digg, Delicious, Technorati, StumbleUpon, Propeller, Reddit, and Mixx; 5)  Add your blog's RSS feed to 5 RSS Directories (you'll find them in Google); and 6) Join 5 MyBlogLog.com communities and add their authors as contacts.

e)  At least once per week, create a HubPage focusing on one of your keywords.  Link it to a Google Knol that you create using the same keyword.  Link the Google Knol to a Squidoo lens that focuses on the same keyword.  Link the Squidoo Lens to your blog.  Also, write an article that focuses on the same keyword and submit it both to one main article directory like EzineArticles.com or AssociatedContent.com, linking your resource box to a specific blog post on your blog.  Then, also re-write that article (or use a good quality spinner such as Unique Content Wizard offered by www.need-an-article.com) and submit it to at least 1 article syndicator such as those shown at www.abundancegroup.com/advertise.

f)  In your blog's sidebar, arrange it as follows:  1) opt in box with good benefit oriented headline; 2)  Text link to subscribe to your feed (use Feedburner's "Chicklet Chooser); 3)  A graphic ad for your low end product that generates leads for other products that you sell; 4) Recent Posts; 5) Categories: 6)  Resources (this is the category called "resources" in your "Links" area of your blog) - where you have text links to all of the low end products that you sell;  7)  Archives;  Cool  Recent Reader Widget from MyBlogLog.com.  NOTE:  You do NOT want tons of ads in your sidebar!  You only have 1 graphic ad and a list of text ads!  Anything more than that will actually make you LESS money not more money from your blog!

g)  Using "My Twitter Tools" plugin on your blog, have each blog post also posted to your Twitter account.  Each day, add 25 to 50 new followers on Twitter.

h)  Setup a Facebook account.  Using the Twitter application, have each Tweet post to your status on Facebook.  Each day, add 50 new friends to your Facebook account.  Also use the RSS Reader application on Facebook to have your posts also post to your wall.

i)  Using the "Headline Animator" tool in your Feedburner.google.com account, post to forums daily with the Headline Animator in your signature line.  Use the Headline Animator to add your blog posts to other social networking profiles you have in your niche.

-------------------------------------------
This is an overview of my blogging system.  The plugins that I use are all designed to help cause results with this system.  Some of the plugins allow you to improve search engine rankings.  Others help to improve conversions.  I've seen other plugins that people use that actually hurt results on your blog, though.  So my suggestion is to ONLY use my recommended plugins at first!  Then, test things out -- look at how much traffic you get to your blog and what that traffic turns into in turns of subscribers and sales.  Only after you know what kind of results you get should you consider adding other plugins.  As you do, carefully watch to see what results you then get.  If they are less than what you previously got, remove the new plugins.

I hope this helps!  Know that my entire system for building a business has 5 core systems:

#1 -- A Mindset System (see the "Mindset Systems Workshop" at http://www.askggg.com/mindset)
#2 -- A Relationship Building System with the blog at the heart of it (see the "Blog Systems Workshop" at http://www.askggg.com/bloggingcall)
#3 -- A Monetization System that uses at least 1 info product to generate leads for the other products you sell (see the "Info Product Systems Workshop" at http://www.askggg.com/ipcall )
#4 -- A Leverage System that taps into other people's resources to build yours (see the "Joint Venture Systems Workshop" at http://www.askggg.com/jvcall )
#5 -- A Traffic Generation system (see the "Traffic Systems Workshop" at http://www.askggg.com/traffic )

Your blog is really the heart and soul of all 5 of these systems!  So you really only want 1 blog that focuses on the 1 audience that you want to target.  The blog needs to help that audience to solve problems that they know they have.  This will help get visitors to your blog onto your list and to get visitors to buy the lead generation products that you offer.  The list and the low end products will then help to get people to know, like and trust you and to see all of the other problems that they didn't know they had.  The list and low end products then move buyers into higher priced products that you offer and eventually, get them qualified as buyers of your high end products.

When you use this system, you increase the lifetime value of each customer.  This means that you don't need as many new customers to make tons of money in the end.  It also means that you don't need millions of visitors to your website to get great results.  So, you can work less and make more!

If you plan all of this properly, it will help ensure that you'll meet ALL of your goals in the long run, helping you to feel more fulfilled and like you really accomplished something!

If you're struggling with what niche to be in, it usually indicates that you haven't really planned your long term goals well.  That's covered both in the "Miracle Motivational Package" in the "Goal Setting" bonus (http://www.askggg.com/aip) and in much more detail in the "Mindset Systems Workshop".  You got an overview of this in Lesson 1 of the Challenge and a little more of an overview in Lesson 2.  Really think long and hard about what you want 3 to 5 years from now as it will help you to figure out what you really want to do!

To Your Abundant Success!

8  General Category / Weekly Progress Journals / Re: Starting Again!!! on: May 08, 2010, 04:03:22 PM
Hi Cindy:

Glad to see that you are back and trying again!

Let me ask you a HUGE questions...

What will be different about the Challenge for you this time?

Human beings are the only animals on this planet that seem to somehow think that doing the same things over and over again can somehow produce different results.  They CAN'T!

So, if you have not gotten very far the first 2 times you tried getting through the materials in the Challenge then you need to do things differently this time or you won't see any different results!

Let me make a few suggestions...

1)  If you are still staying in town from 7:45 am to 4pm to pick your daughter up, can you bring your laptop along, park yourself at a Starbucks with a WiFi and work all day?

2)  Set aside specific times each day that are NOT violatable to work on your business.  These need to be focused, uninterrupted chunks of time.  Make it clear to your entire family that you will NOT allow interruptions during that time so that they won't bother you.

3)  Chunk up your time into blocks of not more than 2 hours each.  For each To-Do list item, assign an amount of time that you will spend on that task.  At the end of the allotted time, go on to the next item -- even if you haven't finished the first!  Simply take the remaining portion of the first task and add it on to the next day's To-Do list.  Do this for a week or two and you will get MUCH better at accurately predicting how long each task will take.  And -- you'll also see that you begin to work much more efficiently!

4)  Lastly, prioritize your To-Do list based on which items are likely to make you the greatest amount of money the fastest.  You want to be working ON the business and not IN the business.  Things like setting up your blog are working IN the business.  Creating a product, researching your market, planning your profit funnel, writing a blog post (but not posting it!) are all examples of working ON the business.  When you focus on working ON the business instead of IN it, you almost always end up working on the things that are likely to impact the bottom line the most.  Everything that has you working IN the business is the stuff that you want t outsource.

I hope this is helpful and wish you much success!

Gina

P.S.  I recently found a GREAT piece of software that helps you get more done and stay more focused as you chunk up your time.  It's called "Action Machine Pro" and you'll find it at:

http://www.askggg.com/action

You'll be amazed at how much this little tool helps keep you focused and taking action everything on your To-Do lst everyday!  It's the best $27 I've invested in a LONG time!

Thanks for posting this, Lee Ann!

I'm looking forward to connecting with ALL of you in Phillly!  I'm planning a dinner on Saturday night for all who attend.  I'll be getting many of my friends together to join us.  In the past, we've had people like Willie Crawford, the host of JVAlert, Ken McArthur, Mark Hendricks, and many others!  Plan on joining us!

Let me know if you're interested in a mastermind group on Monday or Thursday.

Hi Renee:

I am SO proud of you!  What a GREAT revelation!

Just about every student I've ever worked with has had some underlying belief or underlying fear that was activated within them, and it almost always results in being "stuck" or not seeing results.

More often than not, all it takes to move past that belief or fear is recognizing that it exists in the first place!  If you then honor it, acknowledge that it exists, and set a course to move forward in spite of it being there, that's when big things start to happen!

I'm glad to hear that you've done this for yourself!

Now it's time to start seeing some results!

Hi Renee:

I think one other ting that you saw this weekend is how many people badly need your coaching on technology!  I hope that it also showed you who these people really are.  If you think about it, there are really a couple of different audiences -- the primary one is baby boomers who are interested in building a business and need to use their computers to do it;  the other is younger people (i.e. aged 30 to 45) who are more creative and not at all technical.

For these people, using technology is completely mis-aligned with their personality style and values.  For them, using technology is something that is so opposed to their personality style that forcing them to use technology would actually make them physically ill.  We had one such person at the live event in Atlanta and at least one person in the webinar as well.  For these people, it would make a LOT more sense for them to partner with someone who could handle both the technology and the tactical side of their business so they can be free to do the things that they are both passionate about and that are aligned with their personality style and values.

I mention this to you because you are likely to attract both types of people if you shift your coaching to helping people get comfortable with technology.  It would be great if you had a scalable coaching program that could serve BOTH types of individuals.

What would that look like?

Well, let's look at a model that works very well right now for Willie Crawford.  Willie has an ownership interest in about 70 internet businesses.  Most of these are businesses that were built by others originally.  They then partnered with Willie to get promotional help and traffic to their site.  To see one of these sites, visit www.EasyPushButtonTraffic.com.

You could do a similar type of thing with your coaching students who fall into this second category.  All of your students would first pay for your coaching.  But, through the program, they would be offered a chance to partner with you on their businesses if they successfully complete your program.  You could outsource most of the work so it wouldn't require you to do anything more than supervise the work, and you could take a 50% ownership interest in every business that you do this with!  Talk about a GREAT way to make a LOT more money passively!

Let's talk about how this could work on one of the upcoming Gold Calls!

Keep up the GREAT progress!

Hi Rick:

Shirley's given you some really sound advice!

As you've already learned, most of the programs out there all give you conflicting information about where to start.  To make matters worse, each then tells you that your next step should be a different one.  So how the heck can so many of these "gurus" (myself included") all be "RIGHT" when they all tell you to do something different?

The reason that all of us have different advice is because each of us is really sharing a different business model.  Each model is typically going to make you money from one specific strategy only.

For example, it is well known that Joel Comm's system is one that has you making money primarily from AdSense (although in the recent past, that's changed a bit).

Likewise, Anik Singal's system is one that has you making money primarily from Affiliate commissions.

Kevin Nations (one of my mentors), shares a system that makes you money from selling big ticket products (i.e. those priced at $1,000 or higher).

One thing is common among all 3 of these (and many others as well) -- they show you how to MAKE MONEY from these strategies.  What they do NOT show you is how to BUILD A BUSINESS from these strategies!

My program and system is different in that it is NOT meant to show you yet another way to make money online.  Rather, it is meant to show you first and foremost how to BUILD A BUSINESS -- not one that is online necessarily, but one that uses the power of the internet for what it's good at (having low overhead and no inventory, allowing you to test quickly, allowing you to reach prospects inexpensively, etc.).

In my system, you focus first oin setting the business up by creating the core systems needed and tying them together into a single overall system.  One of those systems is the system for monetizing the business.  This one system can use any number of different strategies -- selling products as an affiliate, selling high end products of your own, selling physical products, selling products through a network marketing company, creating your own information products, etc.

The monetization piece is simply one of the core systems.  You also need a system for building a list, a system driving traffic, a system for building relationships (this is my blogging system), a system for having an abundant - positive mindset, and a system for using joint ventures to get any resources or assets you might need, and a system for the monetization (in my case, this is a profit funnel based system).  All of these core "systems" then come together into one bigger, overall system that creates your business.

The reason that I have you doing market research early on instead of simply doing keyword research is that you need to make sure that you are in a market that has a high potential for profit in the long term.  Without knowing this before you get started, you end up setting yourself up for simply "making money" -- often times just for a short time.

In my overall system, you do not need to have all of the core systems put together before you get started, but you DO need to have a plan outlined in detail before getting started.  This allows you to follow the plan one step at a time and always reach your long term goals.

If you instead just start with your first step, even before you have outlined where you want to be in the long run, you end up taking a lot of twists and turns on your journey -- some of them profitable and some of them costly.  Your journey becomes longer and bumpier.  And, worst of all, you don't always reach your goals!

By spending a bit of time on the front end of your business to get really clear on where you want to be in the long run and how you want to serve your customers, and then working your way backwards in the plan to figure out what first steps you need to take, you'll position yourself to make a LOT more money in the end while doing a LOT less work too!  This way, every step you take is one step closer to your desired outcome!  You'll be able to leverage your every move to make sure that it gets you the biggest possible result!

I hope this makes sense to you.  You're doing all the right things right now...  Going back to Lesson 1 is a great idea!  Make sure that you complete the "Action Steps" at the end of each lesson before moving on to the next lesson and your business will build itself!

I hope to see you on upcoming "Gold Challenge" calls!  If you haven't upgraded to gold member yet, you can do so at http://www.askggg.com/goldupgrade and then join us on Wednesdays at 4pm eastern for our Gold Challenge calls!

To Your Abundant Online Success!
