How to Use the DU Forum
The DU Forum is the one area on DirectionsU.com that requires a separate login and password.  To use the forum, make sure that you register separately!

I'm checking the forum at least daily and I'd love to have questions that I can answer for you!  Feel free to post them in the "General Discussion" area or in an area more pertinent to your question!

Does anyone know what this label under our names is about.  Mine says "newbie" and others say  (sorry, can't remember now), something different.  Anyways I was wondering what one did to move up.  I've noticed that some who started with me have a different tag.  Just wondered what I was not doing that I need to do.

Picky, yes.  Ego, sort of.  Want to improve, definitely.

I have a problem with short-term memory (thank you lupus meds) and so I think maybe I have forgotten something I should know.

Despite this being a nonsense request, does anyone know the answer?

Sue

Thanks ahead of time for taking time out of your busy day to answer this question.  Thanks!

Hello Sue,

As I understand it, the labels are related to the number of times you post here in the forum. However, I don't have a clue about how many posts it takes to move up to the next level.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Brenda,

As a newbie, I don't think any question is odd.  Glad you seem to agree (by answering).

Hope you get everything you want out of this challenge.  I started in the 5th and yet to get my blog running.  Ran into bunch of problems.  Having a "Gina Blog" made for me instead.  So much less stressful.

Thanks again,
Sue

Hi Sue,

I started in the middle of the 5th. I'm working on my profit funnel now and looking forward to lesson 4.

Glad you found a solution for your blog problem. Less stress is very good.  Smiley

Brenda dear, How are you getting with your profit funnel.  I'm doing the same lesson (3) and can't wait to get past it.  I'm still looking for products to put in my funnel.  It's not as easy as it sounds, is it?
Shirley

p.s Yes Sue, you get labelled according to how many posts you do in the forum.  Like Brenda, I don't know how many it takes to move up because I didn't count.  But it isn't a matter of life and death. Don't worry about it. (I too wondered and asked and doing that pushed me up to the next level)  Smiley

Hi Bubastis,

Actually, I'm having a problem I never expected. Over the years I've accumulated  a lot of PLR and resell rights products in my niche (aromatherapy/essential oils). I also have some things I've written. My problem is trying to narrow down the focus of my first group of products. Aromatherapy is such a wide ranging field that I'm having trouble deciding where to start.

I think I'm going to start with relieving stress with aromatherapy. That way I can cover essential oil blends as well as the different aromatherapy methods -- massage, candles, infusions and bath products.

Bubastis, what is your niche? Maybe some of us can help point you toward some products you can use.

Hello guys:

I just finished reading this thread and the questions about moving to the next level.

I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like the magic number of posts in the forum is 50.  Some people have been around for awhile but have not reached 50 posts.

It also might be important that you reach one month in addition to 50 posts to get a new star.

Just keep posting and it will happen before you know it.

I hope this helps.

Hi Sue - I was reading the admin posts and found the answer to your question on the tags - I hope this helps Smiley

Peace, Love, Light & Blessings
Renee

Haha!  The number of stars are definitely related to the number of posts.  There are different levels of membership in this forum.  They are as follows:

1 stars = newbie (0 to 49 posts)
2 stars = Jr. Member (50 to 99 posts)
3 stars = Full Member (100 to 249 posts)
4 stars = Sr. Member (250 to 499 posts)
5 stars = Hero Member (500+ posts)

I also have 2 other groups which are:

Teacher Assistants (5 stars)
Interns (3 stars)

How many stars do you plan on having?

There is also something attached to the forum called "Karma".  This is basically a tool that allows you to reward or punish members who write posts that are helpful or hurtful.  We really haven't been using this feature of the forum at all, but I'm game if you are!  I just have to figure out how to use it first :>)

Keep up that great posting!  I'll try to be caught up by the end of the day on Monday myself.

Hi Brenda,
Aromatherapy is an area I am interested in and I sure understand what you are talking about! I love the idea of de-stressing with aromatherapy and then pulling in all the other items. Great idea. Would you call it de-stress or relaxing???

Kathy,

Hmmm, de-stress or relaxing? I don't know, I hadn't really thought about it, but I think I do want a catchy word/phrase instead of "relieve stress with aromatherapy." Now I have to put my thinking cap on.

It's so great to have people to bounce ideas off of.

Thanks,
Brenda

How about BOTH...Relax, Revive and De-Stress...then you have covered more bases! Something like that could be your tagline. What is the name of the business???

Renee:

Thanks for the information from Gina on the number of stars.

I was pretty close in my assumption.

I was wondering about the title you have of Content Creation Club "Newbie" and the three "Blue" stars.  I also saw this title under Michelle Simms.  What does this mean?

Gina's post did not address the different colors for the stars.

Hi Bevena,

I'm not sure where I got the 3 stars  Grin - I'm thinking she has different color stars for different classes.
The Content Creation was a workshop Gina did for the students of Coaching from Spirit. Showing us how to get our business going and getting paid to create content. It had sooo much good information that I was looking for more and it lead me to this 30 Day Challenge. Which is right where I need to be.

Hi Brenda,
My niche is health and wellbeing, If you can call it a niche.  It's a vast area and I keep thinking of new things that can come into the category. I'm having real problem deciding what to start with.  Once I have that nailed down I can follow along whichever path people want to go. (oooo, such bad grammar) Roll Eyes

My main problem at the moment is that I can't seem to get my mind on anything except preparing for the funeral, reception, etc. And then, when that's passed, the operation will rear its ugly head again. I think it will be June and the 7th Challenge before I can really get settled in (and I haven't managed to get on the 6th challenge yet).  Oh dear, what a tale of woe  Sad

I'm trying to be as prepared as possible for the time when I can really "get down to cases" and start operating properly again.

Renee:

Thanks for that information.  I wasn't aware of the Coaching From Spirit workshop that Gina did.

This thread is so funny...you and I are having a conversation going, and Brenda, KathyDV and Shirley are having a different one...all at the same time.

The important thing is, we're all communicating and getting the answers we need from one another.
