I'm interested in this group, I've been trying to come up with a name for a group too. I'm looking to brainstorms some ideas and for general support for some of those "bumps" in the road we all need to overcome from time to time to go forward. Maybe even possible JV opportunities?

I don't know if you realize what a powerful idea you just had in starting this group!  Let me explain why ...

I see this MasterMind Group as being useful for 2 reasons:

1)  You can each critique and discuss one another's profiles to help tweak them to improve results.  It is really invaluable to get this kind of feedback on your social networking profiles.

2)  Many of the social marketing techniques will bring even bigger results when you can repeat the same task multiple times.  However, the sites don't allow you to do this yourself.  They only allow others to do this on your behalf.  For example, with social bookmarking, if you added your post to a social bookmarking site more than 2 times, they would ban your account.

BUT -- if you put together 8 to 10 people in a "ring", and you each bookmark one another's posts twice, that would give you a minimium of 16 to 20 links for each blog post, in each social bookmarking site.  If having 2 links in a single social bookmarking site could bring 5 to 10  visitors to your site, then having 16 to 20 such links could bring 80 to 200 visitors!

There are membership sites set up just to build these rings, and they're charging as much as $47 for you to participate in them!  You're doing it for free by setting up a Mastermind Group with other like minded individuals who will also be using these techniques.

That is HUGE!

I'll tell you what ...

If you guys don't mind, I'll even join the group just to have this benefit for myself!  That's how powerful it really is!

If my being there would hamper you in any way, though, just let me know and you're on your own!  I don't want to stop the great progress all of you have been making!

I had no idea Gina that this 'rule' applied and creating a 'ring' is an excellent idea. OK, come one and all to this MasterMind and lets not only benefit from this little bit of wisdom, but from one another sharing what I am sure will be a PRODUCT in the making...Our collective knowledge about Social Marketing. This stuff SELLS and we will be creating our own data base of TIPS & TRICKS

I am an absolute newbie at this, I don't yet have profiles on any site and in fact haven't yet registered for any of the bookmarking sites. So I am seriously looking for "ground up' knowledge, skills and top notch methods.

Gina, I welcome you into the group. I never even thought that you you wouldn't be a part of it. Unless there is disagreement from others, bring on your stuff!!

That is a great idea. I have only sign-up to Facebook and have not returned. Maybe a post on what social bookmarking is and a general overview on the social networking sites and how they will help with our business.

Sorry I haven't introduced myself to the forum as yet - I've been too busy reading and planning. I promise I'll post an introduction later today.

I thought this mastermind group was a fantastic idea even before Gina pointed out the marketing benefit of forming the ring. So... count me in.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make Tuesday's live teleseminar (prior appointment... Monday would've been better for me). But I'll listen to the recording and will certainly join in the subsequent discussions.

And if I can ever get in touch with Craig, I KNOW he'll be on board too!  I'm pretty sure that my new VP of Operations (WIlliam Knotts) plans on joining us as well.  I've been keeping him so busy, though, I doubt he's had time to check this thread.  I'll let you know when I confirm with him.

I would think that Terri Shearer would be joining us as well.  Has anyone heard from her?

And ... if Michael Spindleman doesn't join us on this one, he's going to get an earful from me!  (HINT!  HINT!)
