Over the last week or so, I have been experimenting with Twitter.  If you've been online for any length of time at all, then you already know how popular this has become.

My experiments have shown me that Twitter can drive a TON of traffic AND directly result in sales!

More importantly, using Twitter can allow you to build EVEN stronger relationships, even FASTER with your target market.

I want you to have the experience of using Twitter and seeing what it can mean to you and your business, so I've set up something called a "Crowd Status".  This will allow me to add all of the 30-Day Challenge Participants to a single page so that we can all follow one another on Twitter.

You'll want to Twitter about what you're doing as you're building your business.  Tell us things like:

1)  What you're doing, i.e. what action you are taking such as reading Step 5, putting up my new blog, etc.  (NOTE:  Make sure you include URL's so we can see too!)

2)  What you're learning, i.e. Just learned that I can drive 5,000 visitors to my blog every day by ________ .

3)  What results you're getting, i.e. Just got my first 10 visitors to my blog and 4 of them subscribed!

4)  What activities you're taking part in, i.e. Listening to a John Reese teleconference on _______.

5)  Cool sites you're finding useful, i.e. Gina's 30-Day Challenge just turned me onto www.quantcast.com and you won't believe what I learned about my market!


I think you get the idea here.  In other words, I want all of you to learn from one another through the experience of watching what one another are doing to build your business.

As you Twitter, I'll jump into the forum and offer some helpful suggestions when I see something that can be improved.  For example, let's say you just spent the last 2 hours watching videos on YouTube, and you haven't even gotten a blog post up that day.  I'll let you know that you're letting yourself get distracted.  (In fact, I can even reply to one of your Twitters and let you know this right away.

The way that this Crowd Status works is that I need to add each member of the crowd to the group.  So you're going to need to sign up for Twitter and then give me your user ID if you want to participate.

Here's what you need to do ...

1)  Register for Twitter at http://www.twitter.com
2)  Visit my Twitter profile and click on the "Follow Me" link.  You'll find it at:  http://www.twitter.com/JVQueen
3)  Come back here, hit REPLY to this thread, and let me know what your Twitter ID is.
4)  Change your homepage to:  http://crowdstatus.com/The%20IM%20Universitycrowd.aspx (this is our new Crowd Status home)

Well you've both been added already!  This is going to be FUN !

I can't WAIT to see how many of you actually start Twittering!  If you have even a basic understanding of how Twitter works, you can start adding the whole concept to your strategic plan.  (I cover Twitter in the last 30 minutes of the call, so if you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to the recording.)  Especially if you're just getting your business started now, using Twitter in combination with Facebook could realistically give you THOUSANDS of people sitting there just waiting for you to open your doors!  In the meantime, you'll be using Twitter to get them even more excited about what you're developing, at the same time strengthening your relationship with your audience, and making them want your products at all costs.

This is HUGE!  I can't think of any other tool that can give you this advantage.  How will you use it in what you're doing?

I too am in the group that has the fear of failure mentality which I an trying to overcome.  I like everything to be perfect before I commit myself and I'm striving to get the "just do it" mentality--get something out there and improve it as you go along.  Not easy to teach this old dog new tricks!

I plan on reading your info on twittering today and listen to the replay of the teleconference today as well so I plan to be twittering by day's end.

I tried to download Louis Allport's videos in Step 5, Lesson 1 and keep getting an error message.  Is there a problem with the link or is it just me?  Is anyone else having this problem?  Best regards,
